Terms & Conditions and Product Disclaimers
All treatments are performed with a high standard and with your best interests at heart. However, all treatments come with a certain amount of risk. Although we are trained to perform these treatments and operate with safety in the forefront of our minds, there is always a risk of complications. Please read the following treatment information for a more in-depth examination of treatment requirements and risks.
Laser and IPL
Laser and IPL treatments are an excellent choice for many people, however, there are some exclusions and contraindications to treatment. We do not perform treatment on pregnant women, minors (under 18) or on unhealthy clients. Certain skin conditions can also exclude someone from laser with us, like the tendency to keloid scar or untreated skin cancer. We assess your skin and medical history and will let you know if you are safe for treatment and if our treatments are likely to effectively address your concerns.
If we feel that your skin's presentation may be something other than benign, we may ask you to see your GP before we will treat you.
Energy based treatments can cause blisters, burns and scarring. They can also cause a worsening of pigmentation or redness. We take great care to avoid these adverse events, however, they can happen.
It is extremely important to wear SPF following treatment. Your skin will be photosensitised post treatment and you will be likely to sunburn or hyper-pigment.
Muscle Relaxing Injections
Muscle Relaxing injections can soften many lines and wrinkles. However, deeper lines may not disappear. It is possible to develop antibodies to the Botulinum toxin, which means over time the treatment may no longer work for you or the treatment longevity will decrease.
There is a risk of ptosis or droop from forehead and frown line treatment. It is important to refrain from rubbing your face, sleeping or lying flat for two hours post treatment.
There is also a risk to eyebrow shape and height from treatment. Although we take great care to avoid any unaesthetic outcomes, this is always a risk.
Double vision has been reported in the literature following crows treatment. Although incredibly rare, this is another potential risk to treatment.

Dermal Fillers and Threads
Dermal filler and thread treatment outcomes can be subtle or significant, depending on the amount of dermal filler used. Although we try to understand your goals, it is possible that we will not achieve the results you want.
There is a significant risk of bruising from treatment. Please do not schedule your treatments near occasions where you would be uncomfortable having a bruise or visible swelling on your face.
Although rare, dermal fillers can become lumpy many months after treatment. This is due to an immune reaction in your body. We use products that are high quality and not associated with granuloma formation, however it is still a potential risk. We will dissolve your filler should this happen, but will not reimburse you the cost of the original treatment.
Certain health conditions and medications make some people poor candidates for dermal filler and thread treatments. Active autoimmune disease, immunocompromise and blood thinners are examples of conditions and medications that make these treatments risky for clients. Should you have a complicated medical or we are concerned about your suitability to treat, we may ask for a doctor's sign-off.
There is a risk of vascular events when having dermal fillers. This is very rare, but it is something you should be aware of. A vascular event can be way of compression (where filler squeezes a vessel) or occlusion (where the filler is inside the vessel and blocks it). Should this occur, we will dissolve the filler.
We ask that you self monitor your face for 3 days post treatment and call us, day or night, should you encounter any skin changes, marks that don't look like bruising, pale patches, grey patches or patterns on your skin. Contact us if you experience significant pain, altered sensation or have any questions.
Even more rare again, are the risks of stroke and blindness. Should this occur we will transport you to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Thread treatments create a pull under the skin. This is often noticeable post treatment and will resolve within 7-14 days. Your face may feel uncomfortable for 2-3 weeks post treatment, especially if you apply pressure to it.
Anytime you break the skin, there is the risk of infection. Should you notice your skin becomes hot, red, swollen or painful after treatment, please let us know immediately so that we can assess you.
Skin Treatments
Skin treatments usually take 6-12 weeks to see a result. Results are often variable and depend on your skincare regime at home, your exposure to sun and wind, your lifestyle and diet. It often takes more than one treatment to see a significant result.
Following skin treatments it is extremely important to follow post care instructions. These will often include minimizing your exposure to pathogens and bacteria, staying away from saunas and swimming pools and avoiding irritants on the skin. We will also ask that you use SPF for two weeks post treatment,.
